SEMINARS WITH DR. VASANT LAD
Dates London: October 27 - 31, 2012
Dr. Vasant Lad is a renowned teacher and ambassador of Ayurveda in the West. His teachings are beautiful and inspiring, and every year the English APA (Ayurvedic Practitioner Association) organizes a 5-day teaching event with Dr. Lad. We offer AAS students to take part in this seminar and earn study points for their program here. Registration goes through the APA. With your certificate of participation from the APA, you can register for study points (i.e. for the Long Term Study program) at the AAS. The full 5-day seminar stands for 30 contact hours, equivalent to the Practical Retreats with Dr. Vijith or Dr. Claudia Welch.
Procedure & requirements: see under Tab "Registrations" below.
The AAS is expecting to have Dr. Lad come and teach here in The Netherlands in October 2014

From an interview with Dr. Vasant Lad
Dr. Lad: Ayurveda is also art. Art of reading pulse, art of looking into the eyes. Art of listening to the heart sound. And art means to put everything in its right place. That is the definition of art. Ayurveda is art and science. Ayurveda is poetry. Poetry is an art. Ayurveda is logical. Logic is science. And you will see in Ayurveda there is a beautiful balance between logic and art. So right hemisphere is art, intuition. Left hemisphere is logic, science. When they both are balanced the third brain (diencephalon), the primordial brain, awakes and that is the ground of Ayurveda.
